The Ewe Association of Metropolitan Chicago lost one of its members, Hope James Ocloo, to the icy hands of death.

The Ocloo family, elders and executives of the Ewe Association of metropolitan Chicago, regret to announce that Mr. Hope James Ocloo died earlier this week in Accra, Ghana , after a short illness.

The President of the Association , Ms. Carol Amexo announced this on the associations’s whatsup platform.

Immediately after the announcement,the platform was inundated with messages of condolences to the bereaved family and friends. Togbe Clement Timpo, former president of the association wrote “ What a loss and a sad day for the Ewe community in Chicago! May His Soul Rest In Perfect Peace.My condolences to the Ocloo family here and in Ghana.” Mr. Wolanyo Agbesi, the linguist of the association wrote ” Oh James!! My condolences. May you rest perfect in eternal glory. May your memory be a blessing

Dr. Mark Kutame , former President of the Association stated ” Our deepest condolences to the family.May his soul rest in perfect peace.” Clementine Forson, like many others appeared shocked when she wrote “OMG. What!Dear brother may you rest in Eternal Peace! God be with the family and guide them during this sad moment.”
The immediate past president of the association , Mr. Steve Dei, also appear to be in shock wrote” Oh no ooo, may his Soul Rest in Peace, so sorry to hear that. My condolences.”

James Ocloo was the former website coordinator and manager for both the Ewe Association and the Council of Ewes of North America (CEANA ) for many years. Until his death, he was also the website manager for the Past Students of Ola Secondary School in North America, (POGA). He was a regular attendant at CEANA Conventions and events of the Ewe Association of Chicago.
