OAt a resent forum held in UK, the vice president of Ghana was asked about numerous promises he and his party made during the 2016 election campaign. The vice president of Ghana Mahamadu Bawumia declined several promises he was referred to have made, one of which was $1mil per constituency when they are handed power by the good people of Ghana. This question came as a shock to the vice president and one could clearly see on his face, it actually took him like 30seconds before answering to his own promises.
Dr. Bawumia said:
We never promised $1million per each constituency, it was just a mere thought!
Could it be that the intelligence of Ghanaians were taken for granted? or Ghanaians are just mere citizens to toy around with?
Many could recall, 1 village 1 dam, 1 district 1 factory, $1million for each constituency and so on and so forth, ”but”, the head of Ghana’s economic team and the vice president of the Republic of Ghana has emphatically denied saying that to the people of Ghana when he was in opposition.
It is barely 2yrs since Ghana’s current government took over the leadership of the country and till now, the promises made by this government when in opposition are still sitting in their heads.
