Asante Kotoko Youth Team (U20) Draws With Cedar Village F.C

 

On Saturday 3rd March, 2018 at Adako Jachie, the training grounds of Asante Kotoko Senior team, the Kotoko Youth Team (U20) hosted the Cedar Village F.C, a second Division side located at Aboaso in the Kwabre-East District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana in a friendly match.

The match ended 1-1 draw with Cedar Village F.C striker Jones Owusu Micky opening the scoring in the 45th  minute in the first half before the end of proceedings in the first half in the game.

Kotoko Youth team(U20) had a penalty missed on the 57th minute in the second half by Diaara Amidou(Ivorian international). However, this same player who missed the penalty got the equalizer on the 61st minute for the Kotoko boys.

Both Coaches fielded a very strong side and the game was very nice and entertaining throughout the entire duration of the game. The game was a midfield battle with both teams playing according to the instructions of their technical team.

So at the end of proceedings after the 90th, minute with the scores at 1-1 Draw, clearly the spectators were the winners.

A United State Based Team Owner of the Cedar Village F.C., Nana Adu Poku, who is the current Asantefuohene of Cincinnati, in the State of Ohio immediately called to congratulate his team and the management for such a superb performance.
