Rattray Park’s dancing fountain stops “dancing”; operating software missing

Two people have been picked up in connection with the missing operating software for the dancing fountain at the Rattray Park in Kumasi.

The software had reportedly been saved on a USB drive (pen drive), which has been allegedly stolen.

Subsequently, the dancing fountain has not worked for over about a month as a result of the theft.

The Manager of the Park, Kwame Asamoah Mensah and the IT Manager, Carlos Sakyi Ntow, are said to have been picked up following the theft of the device, according to a report by Accra based radio station, Joy FM.
The dancing fountain is the park’s major attraction since its inauguration in June 2015.

The USB drive was said to have been detected missing on July 22, 2017, according to Joy FM.

The Park was in September 2016 temporarily closed down by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) for non-payment of tax.
