Ghanaian Community in Chicago lost a leader!..One week celebrations on September 9 2017!

With heavy heart the Bekoe family home and abroad, the Asanteman Association of Chicago and Midwest and the Okuapeman Fekuw of Chicago announce the transition to eternity of Mrs. Elizabeth Abenaa Bekoe. The late Mrs. Bekoe died on August 22 2017 at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was 69 years old.

The late Mrs. Bekoe was an active member of the Ghanaian community in Chicago. She represented the Asanteman Association on the GNC for many years and became first female President of the council after President Dr. Yahaya resigned his position and left for Ghana.

The funeral committee would like to inform members of the community that a one-week celebration in honor of the late Mrs. Bekoe will be held on September 9th in view of the many activities and travels during the Labor Day weekend. The venue is Redemption Presbyterian Church, 741 E. 84th Street, Chicago IL 60619 FROM 6p.m to 11pm.

May her soul rest in peace.
