The 2016 Presidential Candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Dr. Papa Kwasi Nduom has expressed worry over what he describes as the minimal infrastructure for Agro Processing available in the Brong-Ahafo Region.

According to him an Agriculture Region like Brong-Ahafo needs the capacity to undertake processing of its produce like Cocoa, Cashew, Yam, and Sweet potatoes to make Agriculture lucrative for farmers.

Dr. Nduom made the remarks when he addressed journalists to round off his four day campaign tour of Bono-Ahafo in Techiman.

According to the 2016 Presidential Candidate for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwasi Nduom, the absence of Agro Processing Facilities in the Brong-Ahafo Region is a major hindrance to its development.

He said the Region’s infrastructure development is weak, resulting in inadequate investment that will help Agro-processing to thrive.

Dr. Nduom wondered why a Region were well noted for the production of Cocoa, Timber, Poultry, Cashew and Gold, is lagging behind in infrastructure development, particularly Factories.

Dr. Ndoum had to say something about it.

He said it is difficult to understand why such a problem could occur in the 21st century.

He blamed Government and other Regulatory Agencies’ poor performance as the reason for the whole saga.

At the Palace of the Omanhene of Techiman,
he appealed for land to establish a Group Nduom Company in the Techiman Municipality. As he did in every Constituency that he visited,

Dr. Nduom introduced the PPP Parliamentary Candidate for Techiman South, Ibrahim Sumaila to the Chiefs and People.
