The remains of the late Abuakwa North NPP MP, JB Danquah Adu, have been conveyed to his hometown after lying in state this morning at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.

There will be a state-supported funeral and burial for him tomorrow at his hometown, Akyem Tafo in the Eastern Region.

Our Correspondent Jonathan Thompson reports that President Mahama, Parliamentarians, government officials and a section of the public paid their last respect.

J.B Danquah Adu was murdered on Tuesday February 5, 2016, in his home at East Legon by a 19-year-old man who is currently facing trial for robbery and murder.

The late MP is described by his colleagues as honest, friendly and selfless.
