Gonjaland Youth Association marks 40th anniversary

The 40th anniversary celebration of the Gonjaland Youth Association is underway in Salaga in the Northern Region.

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur is the special guest.

The President’s National Security Advisor, Baba Kamara, DCEs, MPs and citizens of Gonja are attending the celebration. Also attending are the chiefs and the masqueraders from Winneba in the Central Region.

The Public Relations Officer of the Gonjaland Youth Association, Haruna Mahama told GBC’s Radio Ghana’s Seth Eyiah in Salaga that the focus of the celebration is to drum home the need for peace

Meanwhile, the Chairman for the occasion and paramount chief of the Effutu Traditional area, Neenyi Ghartey urged the association to review its activities and chart a new path for the years ahead.

He said in spite of their different geographic locations, the Guan community will continue to grow from strength to strength.
