Joy News is reliably informed that Caption (rtd) Edmund Koda has been re-arrested by officials of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) Saturday.
The state has dropped the charges against the head of security for New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Captain (rtd) Edmund Koda Thursday.
Security operatives were reported to have gone together with Captain Koda to his Weija residence earlier in the week to do some searching.
The operatives believed to be mostly from the office of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and police personnel raided the house around 4pm. It is not clear yet why he has been re-arrested.
His earlier arrest has to do with the three South African ex-police men who are reported to be in Ghana to train the security people around the flagbearer of the NPP and his running mate.
Deputy Communications Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, confirmed the news of his re-arrest on MultiTv’s Newsfile programme adding that Capt Koda was never tried by the court.
