Former world champion Joshua Clottey travels to the USA on Wednesday, December 9 to face American Gabriel Rosado in an upcoming Luis Ortiz and Bryant Jennings fight on HBO on Dec. 19.
Joshua Clottey (39-4, 22 KOs) will be taking on the two-time world middleweight title challenger (21-9, 13 KOs) in a 10-round bout which will be contested at a catch weight of 158lbs.
Despite Rosado being winless in his last five professional boxing matches, he always seems to make for an entertaining scrap which has endeared him to fans.
Clottey, on the other hand, has had several long stretches of inactivity, with him having fought only twice in the last year and a half.
“Clottey is going up a little bit in weight and Rosado is going down a little bit in weight,” De La Hoya said.
“Besides it being a good fight, I think the winner will put himself back in line for an even bigger fight with any of the top junior middleweights or middleweights,” he added.
