NPP HQ raiders took away hard drives

StarrFMonline.com has learnt that the attackers who raided the national headquarters of the main opposition New Patriotic Party targeted mainly the hard drives in the various computers at the offices.

Sources at the headquarters say apart from the computer at the office of the general secretary, all other hard drives in the computers at the offices have been taken away by the attackers.

StarrFMonline.com investigations reveal that some of the computers have sensitive documents and audio recordings indicting some key personalities of the party of some wrong doing.


Meanwhile, eleven people have so far been arrested in connection with the dawn raid.

The suspects who are believed to be part of some unknown individuals who broke into offices at the headquarters of the opposition party are currently being held at the police headquarters.

Initial reports linked the attackers to suspended national chairman of the party Paul Afoko. But Mr. Afoko has in a statement condemned the attack.

According to reports, the private security firm that guards the office were not present when the incident happened Monday dawn.

Several offices in the building were also locked after it was ransacked making it impossible for members to get access to their offices.
