Chaos in NPP as Asawase youth deface party office

Some supporters of the New Patriotic Party in Asawase in the Ashanti region have reportedly defaced the party office over the suspension of National Chairman Paul Afoko.

According to reports, the youth besieged the party’s constituency office to demand the reinstatement of Afoko who was recently suspended by the National Executive Committee of the party accusing him of conducts inimical to the fortunes of the party.

The youth inscribed the party office walls with words such as ‘we want Afoko back’ using red paint.

This action comes after hundreds of supporters Thursday besieged the headquarters of the NPP in Accra to demand the reinstatement of Afoko.

The disgruntled party members say they disagree with the decision by the National Executive Committee to suspend Mr Afoko.

Some of the supporters that picketed the headquarters held placards which read: “Yes Afoko, no Blay”, “Freddy Blay is not our chairman”, “No more chop chop in NPP”.
