NPP primaries: Philip Addison not quitting Klottey Korle contest – Aide

The campaign team of NPP parliamentary aspirant Philip Addison has dismissed rumours that the lawyer is stepping down from the Klottey Korle contest.

A message circulating on social media platform, WhatsApp, indicates that the renowned lawyer has decided to quit the race and throw his weight behind another candidate, Nii Adjei Tawiah.

Speaking to StarrFMonline.com, the campaign manager for Mr. Addison, Norman Tetteh said the rumour is a deliberate attempt by his main contender Nii Noi to distract them.

“ It is not true. We believe strongly that this is yet another move by Nii Noi to score cheap political points but we have seen through him.

“ I think they got confused when I sent a text message to the supporters of Adjei Tawiah for a meeting after the issues were resolved,” he explained.

The NPP has scheduled the Klottey Korle primary for tomorrow Sunday August 2 following the resolution of the litigation that stalled it by the court.
