NPP primaries: Titus Glover retained, Ayeh loses

The Member of Parliament for Tema East, Titus Glover, has won the party’s primaries in the constituency after garnering 329 votes as against Benjamin Annan Ashietey’s 284.

The biggest casualty of the day was the incumbent MP for Upper Denkyira West in the Central region Benjamin Kofi Ayeh who lost.

He lost his bid to lead the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition in the constituency in the 2016 elections after polling 115 votes as against Samuel Nsowah Djan’s 220.

Speaking to Starrfmonline.com after his victory, Glover said: “I’m not surprised at all. This shows that the people have realised what I’m doing for them on the ground. Victory is ours in 2016.”

In the Sawla Tuna Kalba NPP primary, James Kipo Sunyenzi won.
