Swansea City’s Bafetimbi Gomis collapsed on the pitch at Tottenham on Wednesday and needed urgent medical attention.
White Hart Lane fell silent as the Frenchman dropped to the ground with nobody around him and was carried off on a stretcher. The 29-year-old was seen to be responsive and conscious as he left the field.
The summer signing from Lyon went to ground as the players made their way to restart after Nacer Chadli gave Spurs an early lead before Ki Sung-yueng equalised for the Swans in the first-half.
Gomis was attended to for four minutes and left the field a stretcher, by which point he was conscious and wearing an oxygen mask.
Tottenham players looked visibly shaken by the incident, which bears similarities to the collapse of former Bolton player Fabrice Muamba at White Hart Lane in 2012.
Gomis has a history of blacking out, with his former president at Lyon Jean-Michel Aulas admitting they were worried about the striker back in 2009.
