He’s less than three months old, but Tyler Perry’s newborn son Aman is already getting the star treatment.
The 45-year-old rounded up his friends for a lavish Christening at his picturesque Beverly Hills home on Sunday.
With pals Oprah Winfrey, Cicely Tyson, and Oliver Ripley named as Godparents, the star-studded ceremony was in no shortage of famous faces.
The festivities began with a ceremony inside his home’s very own chapel, which he revealed on Facebook was ‘almost a direct replica of the one my Mother grew up in.’
Outside the modest chapel, guests mingled beside Tyler’s festively decorated pool, which was lined with bouquets of fresh white flowers.
A display of giant toy blocks spelling out Aman’s name were perched at the end of Tyler’s glistening pool.
Other stars to have dropped by for Aman’s bash included Gayle King and Jennifer Hudson, who performed alongside Yolanda Adams that day.
The I Can Do Bad All By Myself director gushed about the festivities on Facebook: ‘What a special day. Thank you Oprah, Oliver, and Cicely. I know my son has great Godparents. To be born in love is a beautiful thing.’
Tyler, whose show The Haves and the Have Nots airs on OWN, welcomed his first child with model girlfriend Gelila Bekele on November 30.
‘Mom and baby are happy and healthy. Tyler is so excited,’ a source revealed to People at the time of Aman’s birth.
The Gone Girl actor shared how excited he was to welcome his first son with Extra back in September.
‘The greatest gift I’m being given right now is the opportunity to give the little boy in me everything I never had, so that’s what I’m excited about,’ he said.
Since his son’s birth, Tyler has released an animated film that stars his popular Madea character.
Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Tough Love became available on DVD on January 20, and the film features the voices of Tyler, Cassi Davis, and Rolonda Watts.
