Reverend Dr. Nonoo Receives Gold Medallion Award

Chicago, March 21 2014: Reverend Dr. Kofi Nonoo was awarded the Gold Medallion /Chairman’s Award by Ministry One, a Chicago based Christian Religious Organization, during their “2014 PATRIARCH AWARDS” at Emmanuel Baptist Church,8301 S Daman Avenue, Chicago Illinois.

Ministry One’s focus is on the ministries of media, men’s ministry, creative church programs and missions. Through media, they seek to teach biblical truths through radio, TV, Social Media and the Internet. Their other mission is to reconnect the African American whose forefathers were brought to the Americas through slave trade and immigrant Africans in the USA and the Diasporas. The Patriarch Awards are therefore one of the forums where MEN of African descent in the Diasporas are recognized.

Rev. Dr Kofi Nonoo was recognized for being the president of the Ghanaian Council of Churches, Pastor of the Ebenezer United Church, roles in organizing Ghana’s independence day and Ghanafest Church Services and other community activities such as officiating at weddings , naming and funeral ceremonies in the Ghanaian Community of Chicago. His work at the Catholic Charities for over 23 years was also cited. Also recognized at the function was Rev. Dr. Isaac Paintsil, Resident Pastor of the Christ Oasis Ministries.

Attendees’ from the Ghanaian communitY includes, Emmanuel Amonoo,Resident Pastor of the Church of the Ghanaian community of Chicago;Rev. Kwasi Amponsah Yeboah,of the Church of the Ghanaian community of Chicago; Mr. Seth Nkansah, Mr. Ernest Bugyei,Mr. Bennett Agyeman,former President of the Church of the Ghanaian community of Chicago and elder in the Ghanaian Community, , Ajhaji Baba Cisse, former President of the Ghana National Council of Metropolitan Chicago and others.
